Use room names that appear on both boxes and doors—mark the furniture position before delivery and choose which room should be usable first—keep one person available to answer placement questions while unloading is underway.
Finalize parking, keys, gate entry, elevator time, and the property contact before the schedule is locked—if any item remains uncertain, identify it plainly so the plan is not built on an access assumption.
I-77 and I-485 conditions should be considered in the route plan—share any fixed closing, lease, elevator, or key-handoff time as well—the dispatcher can then plan the arrival window around both the route and the property’s access limits.
Check closets, cabinets, storage areas, walls, and outdoor spaces at the origin—at delivery, confirm the named rooms, furniture placement, and any agreed reassembly before the crew leaves the destination.
Keep them away from open doors, carrying paths, ramps, and the vehicle—arrange a closed room or off-site care, and make sure the crew knows about any animal that could enter the work area unexpectedly.
